General Information on Submission & Publication

Acceptance for presentation at the conference will be based on the submitted abstracts. Subject to review, acceptance may be for an oral or poster presentation.

Papers are to be submitted at a later stage.

The deadline for paper submission is after the conference. This post-conference publication strategy is preferred to allow authors to report on the latest status of their work and potentially incorporate feedback from the conference. However, for authors, who prefer to submit their paper earlier, it will not be necessary to wait until the conference time. Paper submission will be opened after the abstract submission phase.

The submitted papers will undergo additional review to be accepted for publication in the conference proceedings.

Please note that an accepted paper will only be considered for publication if it is presented at the conference and at least one author is regularly registered.

Extended versions of the selected papers will be considered for possible publication in special or regular issues of various journals.

Paper Submission

Important points to be considered in paper submission are listed below. Please follow them strictly in submitting your paper:

The paper must be prepared in strict accordance with the instructions described in the Springer Guidelines for Authors of Proceedings, which is available at the link below.

Paper size: The number of pages should be at least 8, but not more than 10.

At least 70% of the total work should consist of original material.

Ensure that the similarity index does not exceed 30%

In preparing the paper, Word and LaTeX templates can be used that are provided through the link below.

The paper is to be submitted via Springer Nature's "EquinOCS" submission system, under your already existing account (please do not create a new account), by uploading your paper as a "new version" of your previously submitted abstract.

Further Important Information on the Submission and Revision Process:

  • The paper in its initial version shall be submitted as PDF, exactly as described above.

  • In submitting the revised version, you should first prepare two documents:

  • The first document should be the revised version of your paper with all changes highlighted.

  • The second document should be your point-by-point reply to the reviewers' questions, comments, suggestions. Here, each reviewer comment should be adequately addressed, and the corresponding changes in the manuscript should explicitly be described.

  • Both documents (revised paper with highlighted changes + point-by-point reply) shall be be combined in one PDF and this PDF shall be uploaded through EquinOCS as the new version.

  • After acceptance, the source files of the paper (Word, LaTeX) will also be required, together with the figures, separately as graphic files (jpg/tiff), as well as a Publishing Agreement.

  • The corresponding author must be available to check the paper before it is published. Please note that once a paper has been delivered to Springer, changes relating to the authorship of the paper cannot be made. Authors’ names cannot be added or deleted, their order cannot be changed, and the corresponding author cannot be altered.

Extended versions of a number of selected papers will be proposed for publication in regular or special issues of  scientific journals, including those presented below (in alphabetic order).
